The team was founded in 2007 and was named "Burgut" (Eagle).〔(Турнир по хоккею на Кубок президента Туркменистана пройдет в апреле )〕 The head coach of the team was Turkmen specialist Suleiman Durdyyev. Trained team in the Ice Palace in Ashgabat. Players of the team are called to the Hockey national team of Turkmenistan.〔( Туркменский хоккей во главе угла )〕 In 2012, the team "Burgut" made history of Turkmen hockey, won $20,000 at the first Cup president of Turkmenistan.〔(First-ever ice-hockey tournament for President's Cup held in Turkmenistan )〕〔(Бесценное достояние нации )〕〔()〕 From April 20 to May 5, 2012 by order of the President of Turkmenistan, the team went to Kazan for a training camp on the basis of children's school hockey club Ak Bars.〔(Команды изучают хоккей в Казани )〕〔(Turkmenistan wants icehockey )〕
